We are MOTIVATED MOMS on a MISSION to help families achieve and maintain a HEALTHY, HAPPY, SAFER home. We want a safe haven for our families.
We believe it starts with us!

Optimum health requires a balance in many areas of wellness.  In order to achieve and maintain a healthy home, we must improve areas such as the mind/body, health, fitness, diet and safety, all of which are important.

We believe parents and caregivers do not deliberately expose their children to harm. However, many times the price we pay for lack of knowledge or just absentmindedness can be FRIGHTENING!

Every time a child dies in a hot car …. our hearts ache. At least 30 children died last year of hyperthermia. On the heels of these deaths, a new pool by the National SAFE KIDS campaign and General Motors finds that more adults overall are becoming aware of the dangers of leaving children unattended in or around a motor vehicle, However, ONE IN FIVE young parent believes it is acceptable to leave kids alone.

When Peter Schwab was one year old, he crawled over to the dishwasher to watch his mother unloading it. Suddenly, he put a finger into the chlorinated detergent and ate a fingerful of wet but undissolved  Electrosol. In minutes, his face was red and blistered, and inside of his mouth and his tongue were burned white. Fortunately, within minutes Peter was being treated at the  hospital and recovered in a few days. But others that day weren’t so lucky. Across the hall was a little girl who, according to Peter’s mother, also ate dishwasher detergent and required seven operations to reopen her scarred esophagus.  Our hearts ache.

Here’s a message stated in Dr. Doris Rapp’s book- Is This Your Child’s World?

“Some thoughtless youngsters will be institutionalized for the rest of their lives because of the extensive brain damage caused by sniffing aerosols. Others will end up in cemeteries.”

The more you know about indoor and outdoor chemicals at school, at home, and elsewhere, the better chance your child and family will have to remain healthy.

The problem is…..we do not know exactly how  chemicals may affect us. In short term…people suffer from asthma, allergies, nausea, headaches, and rashes from exposure. In the long term….chemicals can build up in the body and overwhelm the immune system, resulting in cancer or auto immune disease.

BUT…don’t  let these facts stun you into complacency!

Moms….by making HEALTHY CHOICES and WISE CHOICES, we can limit our exposure to toxic chemicals.  Our choices will serve as an example to others!

There was a time we all thought we could trust the manufacturers and their advertised products. Now we do not think we can. It appears …..more and more toxic products are appearing on the shelves of our stores.

As individuals, we may not be able to change how corporations release chemicals into our environments, but we can send a powerful message by choosing not to support them financially.

A lady once asked, “How long will manufacturers continue to do this?” and the answer is …”As long as we let them. When consumers continue to bury their heads and buy these products…. the manufacturers will continue to make them!”

There are safe alternatives. There are manufacturers that have your family’s safety and health in mind.

Just being aware of the harmful situations and the health hazards is a START but it’s not enough. It’s sometimes easier to refuse to believe the information….until it actually hits closer to home.
